Is the Catholic Church having a Crisis of Faith?

Since the start of the "Pandemic" the Catholic Church has sent a fairly clear message. That message is, we don't have a great deal of faith in our Religion or Sacrements, nor do we have a great deal of faith in Eternal Life and the Salvation said to be found in Jesus Christ.
OK, before you consider this to be a hysterical rant, allow a presentation of evidence...
Last year as Easter approached, it seemed that we might be turning the corner on the "Pandemic." (yes, that's hard to believe now, but way back then some of us thought that after about 2 months of "15 days to slow the spread" we might get back to normal.) My city, Austin Texas, took the opposite aqpproach an mandated all public parks closed on Easter weekend fearing that the traditional religious holiday might attract crowds to the parks - which of course would kill everyone. Given the local lock down situation, I began to scan for localities that didn't impose lockdowns, and thought about travelilng to a Catholic Church in such an area where I could attend Easter Mass.
I discovered that both Oklahoma and Arkansas were in much lesser states of "lock down" and that South Dakota had no "lock down" at all. While that seems a bit extreme, I thought it might be a nice change of pace to take a 4 hour drive to Oklahoma or Arkansas on Saturday night and attend a real Easter Mass on Sunday morning. While South Dakota was quite a bit farther away, my brother lives in SD, and it wouldn't be too hard to make an excuse to fly out and make a quick Easter visit. But that turned out to be impossible, because a quick web seqarch revealed in each of these instances, every Catholic Diocese in each of these States refused to hold Mass in public, and opted for "virtual Mass" only.
I had been somewhat disappointed that the Catholic Church chose to not resist local authorities mandates to cease Mass service, but I was willing to concede that maybe it wasn't worth the fight if the negative publicity drove people away from the Church. But it struck me as particularly odd that the Catholic Church would universally choose to be closed, even when there was no conflict with local authorities. Then I thought back to the weeks precedeing the closing of Sunday Mass. The Holy Water basins had been emptied and taped over. The fear being that having common contact with the Holy Water could spread Covid-19 and that Holy Water was a needless risk. Even then I joked, "Gee not much faith in that Holy Water - I doubt the Vampires even fear it now." Of course I thought I was only joking - but as time passed; it seems it was more truth than jest.
Mass remained closed for months. And when public services resumed it was only under very strict rules. One had to arrive 20 minutes early, be scanned for termperature, wear a mask, and be seated by an usher in a pew that was not masked off to maintain a 6' distance at all times from our deadly parishoners. Of course no one could shake hands or even put money in a passed collection basket - all far too risky. Then came February 3rd and the "Feast of Saint Blaise". This is a rather cool Catholic Feast Day. The Feast of Saint Blaise is accompanied by the "Blessing of the Throat," a Catholic ritual that has been performed for centuries that is to protect those that receive the blessing from illnesses of the the throat. As a Catholic school student, I was taught it would prevent cold and flu which was why it was celebrated on February 3rd. But, in every Catholic church I could find, the blessing of the throat ritual was cancelled this year - because it could spread Covid. (Starting to get my point?)
I think last week was when it all crystallized though. I was attending a class session for God Parents and Sponsers for a Baptism/First Communion/Confirmation where I'm going to be a God Parent / Sponser. We were ushered into a room where we were spaced six feet apart and told we had to keep our masks on at all times. Then the leader began to lecture on the day's reading abuot Lazurus. She reminded us that Jesus was present in the room and that he had power over life and death and that the was the lesson of the weeks Scripture.
That's when it really hit me. No, you don't really believe that. You don't have faith in the presence or the power of Jesus Christ. You believe in masks. You believe that a mask and social distance will protect you from illness. You really believe that all that Holy Water, Blessing of Throats, and Eucharist, are all just "symbolism" but REAL power and protection is in MASK WEARING.
This is kind of what pushed me from being somewhat irked and amused to being somewhat pissed off. See, I actually believe exactly the opposite is true. I believe that the Eucharist IS the Body of Christ, (not just a symbol) that Holy Water DOES Sanctify and repel evil, (not just a symbol) and the Blessing of the Throat did offer protection from illness, (not just a symbol). Simultaneously, it seems obvious that a mask doesn almost nothing to protect anyone from illness. Just looking around anyone can see that 90% of air that's inhaled and exhaled goes AROUND not THROUGH the mask, and almost every mask made says that it won't protect from viral protection - so it is the MASK that is JUST A SYMBOL. Yet, everything indicates it's the MASK in which the Church has Faith, and it's own Sacrements and Rituals are just so much bullshit.
Sorry, but it seems that the lines from the Creed recited at every Mass need to be changed from:
I believe in ... the profession of faith, the forgiveness of sin, and resurrection of life after death
To... I believe in wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart, and life on earth is all we have.

Early this afternoon (about 12:50 CST) I walked toward my truck and glanced at my watch wondering if it were time to download the first hour of Rush's podcast. Suddenly a chilling thought crossed my mind. Rush hasn't been on in over a week, I wonder if he's died. When the 1:00 pm news came on, the lead story was the death of the greatest media commentator of all time. It seems the morthage on his talent had come due, and the note was called. (If you're a Rush fan you'll get it, if not - it doesn't really matter.)
My thoughts drifted to the first time I heard of "Rush Limbaugh."
No, it wasn't on radio, or TV - it was on the phone. Yes, on the phone....
I was around 1989 in Austin TX, and talking to a client in Dallas. Our discussion veered toward some cultural / political topic and even then I was never at a loss for stromg opinions, so I went on a mild tirade to which my client interjected something that sounded like "ashlimba would be proud;" - I went on talking over him not quite understanding his comment. When I finished my client added, "you sure do sound like Rush Limbaugh."
I stopped him and asked "Who's Rush Limbaugh?"
"Seriously - you don't know who I'm talking about?"
"No, this is the second time you've used that name and I've never heard it before."
"Well he does a talk show here in the afternoon, if you can you should listen - I think you'd really enjoy it."
Rush wasn't on the air in Austin yet and even though I had become something of a news talk junkie listening to KLBJ 590 am - I didn't give the conversation much thought, until...
One morning a few months later, I was shaving and the am clock radio was playing in the adjacent bedroom. Suddenly a clear confident voice emerged from the radio and his words forced me to walk into the bedroom and say out loud (to an empty room) "who the hell is this?" And then thought to myself, finally someone speaking clear and obvious truth! Then I heard, "That's the monrning update, listen at 11:00 for Rush Limbaugh" Again I said out loud, "Tha't's the guy - That's the guy Loyd was talking about - He's right - he does sound like me."
Over the next 30+ years, I rarely missed a show. Rush was one of the first "podcasters". His show was available in .mp3 download before the Ipod even existed. During many of those years I did a good deall of long distance driving. I've often said if it weren't for Rush Limbaugh mp3's and Art Bell, I'd probably have fallen asleep and died in a car wreck a long time ago. Rush also had a manner that was uplifting and inspiring. As a small business owner, there were 30 years of turmoil and many times it seemed that the only positive input I'd get in a day came from my am radio or podcast. It's hard to imagine what the past 30 years would've been like without hearing an upbeat positive message from Rush every day.
Rush had a great talent to be informative, provacative, and entertaining at the same time. Despite all of the hate spewed by the left, I can't recall any mean spirited comments made by Rush. Over the years I made several attempts to call in, never got through. Sent hundreds of emails. None were answered. Rush did read two of my emails on the air though. It's still an honor to think that he picked my emails out of 100 thousand daily emails - even though he never ansered one. It's a sobering thought, that I'll never get to meet or speak with Rush, or get through on his show.
In recent years, even before Rush announced his cancer diagnosis, I wondered, "who can take Limbaugh's place when he's gone?"
After a good deal of consideration, I think the answer is "No one." Rush was one of a kind, there will be no replacement - and in his absence we'll all have to be a little bit better to try to pick up the slack.
That's what Rush would want.
Farewell Doctor of Democracy, you were the with out a doubt the Greatest Of All Time.

Beating Covid-19 by Ignoring the Experts

5 days ago, (Monday 12/21/2020) I tested positive for Covid-19. This site has featured numerous Covid related posts, most of which were critical of current public policy. In some respects this post will be no different, with the noted exception that it includes my 1st hand experience in fighting Covid-19.
Some background...
While I'm not convinced that the accepted "droplet theory" of transmission is the prevalent method of transmission, it does seem reasonable that being in close contact Covid infected people enhances ones chances of being infected. To that end, I discovered on Wednesday 12/16 that a friend who had been staying at my house for several months while going through a divorce tested positive for Covid-19. The following day I was informed that my girlfriend (who lives in a different house) also tested positive - as well as two other occupants of her home. So, it would seem that I'd been swimming in a virtual Covid incubator for several days. Due to the obvious exposure, even though I was experiencing no symptoms, I scheduled a Covid test on Friday 12/18.
I didn't recieve results until Sunday evening 12/20 - which were -"Negative for Covid-19." Ironically, by the time I received the results on Sunday evening, I was starting to feel ill. By 11:00 pm I was experiencing a low grade fever, slight headache, dry cough, and increasingly severe muscle aches especially in the hip and thigh area. This was intense enough that it was almost impossible to sleep. In the morning I went to the local supermarket and got some Aleve, which I took a double dose amount, and within an hour the muscle ache began to subside. By Monday afternoon, I felt reasonably well, but tired. (Of course I'd had almost no sleep the night before)
At the urging of several others, I scheduled another Covid test. This one would cost $151.00 but would yield results within minutes. At approximately 6:45 pm, I was confirmed positive for Covid-19.

Now what? According to the "Standard of Care" recommendations given at the time of diagnosis - there was really nothing to do other than stay home and isolate.

These recomendations are virtually identical to the recomendations of how to avoid Covid-19. Stay home, wash your hands, wear a mask.
Is there nothing more to be done either before of after exposure to Covid-19?
Yes. Much More
- and the fact that it's been widely suppressed by both Governing and Social Media is nothing short of a criminal act.
First, addressing one's level of Vitamin D is of crucial importance. The probability of being hospitalized or dying from Covid-19 is decreased by 6 fold (at a minimum) if Vitamin D levels are above 20 nanograms/milliliter. Additional studies find levels above 30 to offer increased protection. Vitamin D is a signaling hormone that is theorized to be a key to sending the "stand down" signal to stop the "Cytokine Storm" that leads to lung failure and death. Vitamin D is inexpensive and widely available. It's difficult to estimate how many hospitalizations and deaths could have been prevented had this information been promoted rather than suppressed by Governments and Social Media.
Next, general metabolic health. This is somewhat broad based but; the tendancy for western culture to be insuline resistant, leptin resistant, and consume a very unbalanced ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids; has made us more likely to generate the out of control inflammatory response described as a Cytokine Storm. This is why type II diabetics are at a higher risk of bad outcomes from Covid-19. Omega 6 fatty acids are inflammatory fuel. Again, had there been a concerted effort to ask people to limit the consumption of highly inflammatory substances such as sugar, flour, and seed oils; it's likely that 10's of thousands of lives could have been saved.
But what about treatment after diagnosis?
Again, the answer is Yes, there's much more one can do.
Fortunately for me, I kept my vitamin D levels high with daily supplements of 15,000 IU of vitamin D-3. I also maintained a healthy Omega 3 / Omega 6 ratio by supplementing with 3-4 grams of Omega 3 oils each day. Accordingly, I felt my chances of triggering an out of control Cytokine Storm were low. As a side note, having spent the past 10 years of my life building medical facilities - I've become friends with many medical Doctors.
One such doctor called me after learning of my Covid diagnosis and confided in me, "The best thing you can do is start doing heavy doses of vitamin D."
I answered, "Doc, my normal supplement stack includes 15,000 IU vitamin D."
His response, "Dude, you're bulletproof, you got nothing to worry about."
Despite having "nothing to worrry about," I wanted to be more proactive in dealing with Covid-19. I had been researching Ivermectin since hearing some of the Senate testimony pleading that the NIH review the mounting evidence that Ivermectin was effective in treating Covid-19. I found Dr. Kory's FLCCC.net website recommendations for early stage treatment of Covid-19. The protocol looked like this...

So, as a fairly avid "bio-hacker" I already had ample amounts of all of the prescribed supplements - except for the Ivermectin. In the US, Ivermectin is available only by prescription, and as I've been informed, can't be prescribed as a treatment for Covid-19. For the record, William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura, were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015 (although the drug was developed in the 80's) for their work with Ivermectin in controlling parasitic infections in underdeveloped countries. The drug has been used safely for the past 20 years and is on the WHO list of essential medicines.

So, what is one to do when one is denied access to this widely acclaimed, potentially life saving theraputic due to Governmental malfeasance?
Sometimes there's another way...

Yes, Ivermectin is still available in Veterinary form. Knowing a bit about such things, while it's generally frowned upon, most agree that if the dosage is properly adjusted, there's minimal risk to humans in taking veterinary versions of medications. So, for a whopping 3.99 I picked up a more than ample supply of Ivermectin follow the FLCCC protocol.
I did the day 1 dose on what would have been my 3rd day after diagnosis, (Wednesday 12/23) and my day 3 dose on the 5th day after diagnosis (Friday 12/25). My symptoms had been subsiding since Monday afternoon, and continued to subside. As of today, 12/26, I don't think I have any remaining symptoms of Covid-19 - with the possible exception of some sleep irregularity. I typically sleep soundly for about 7 hours a night. I've been waking up after about 4 hours and then have trouble getting back to sleep for more than an hour. That symptom diminished significantly last night - and hopefully I'll be back to normal tonight. So far I've not experienced any chest discomfort or breathing irregualrity. My O2 levels have never dipped below 98% saturation and have measured consistently at 100% for the past 2 days.
For what it's worth, the others in my "Covid World" have also continued to recover, but seem to be progressing slower. While I'm going to be motorcycle riding this afternoon, they're staying inside recouperating. No way to say for certain if the Ivermectin is responsible for my recovering from Covid several days ahead of the people who contracted Covid several days before me - but I can't help but think that it was. Of course, I realize most people think it's crazy to take horse medicine - but I'm not going to the ICU today - and that's good enough for me.

Let's Stop Complaining About Voter Fraud

Yes, it's time to
stop complaining about voter fraud.
No, I'm not saying we ignore it, just stop the whining AND START CHEATING!
The truth is, what the Democrats did in 2020 has been ruled as legal and acceptable voting and campaigning by virtually every court that's had an opportunity to rule. The rules are changed and the rule changers are in power - so they won't change the rules back.
- Dead voters - OK
- Unmatched Signature - OK
- Undated Mail in Ballots - OK
- PO Box Addresses - OK
- Ballot Harvesting - OK
- Intimidate other party poll watchers - OK
There's dozens more, but you get the point. All of the above are things we've been trying to stop for decades and it just keeps getting worse. The only real hope of changing this fraud based system is to participate in it - and it should start in Georgia. The ballot count in the Georgia run-off should be about twice the population of the State. The GOP poll watchers should be recruited from Bikers for Trump and be prepared for what ever it takes to both disqualify democrat fraud and approve ALL GOP votes.
These are the new rules. We can either play by the rules as they currently exist - or lose every meaningful election - while clinging to some warped sense of principal that we "maintained our values" while whining about the other guys cheating.
